Lloydminster Summer Fun!

We spent last week in Lloydminster with the Kaminski side of the family!

We found some great deals and were able to fly home - Sully was pumped to get to go on the airplane!

This was Branson's first flight and he did GREAT!  Flirted with the fellow passengers and then fell asleep:)

Dan & Hailey were able to come down for the weekend so that we could all be together!

We enjoyed some delicious family time - always amazing food to be had with this crew!

We spent a lot of time in mom and dad's beautiful backyard...

pool time!

As you can imagine the garage was also a big hangout location

4 generations working hard on a new sandbox!

playing in the sand with Gramps

playing at the park

we were blessed to have Great Papa come and visit as well!

a little after dinner concert one night - Papa has some awesome accordion playing skills!

a definite highlight of the trip was getting to spend time with George - Sully is slightly obsessed with this cat!

and I'm sure Branson will be too!

we had a little BBQ with friends while we were home - it was so fun to see everyone and share a meal and time of fellowship together!

Branson got some good snuggle time!

we visited Bud Miller park one afternoon - the spray park

followed by a picnic and playground time

one afternoon Matt and I snuck away for a mid day date - thanks Grams and Gramps for babysitting :)

Sully cooking with Grams

watching the garbage truck with Gramps

scrabble time!

the scrabble tradition continues with this guy

playing a little street ball one night

Matt's still got it :)

Sully and Grams did a little painting one morning

the prairies are beautiful this time of the year - we enjoyed the scenery on our way back to Edmonton

we flew out early on Sunday morning so had to get a hotel in Edmonton the night before...hotels are so bitter sweet.  I remember as a kid I loved them - such a treat to get to sleep in big beds, swim in the pool, all stay in one room.  Now as a parent the idea of ALL of us sleeping in one room is a little bit like a nightmare.  The boys went to bed well and slept through the night well - they just wanted to be awake at 5:30-6...I'm going to remember this when they are teenagers!!!

It was so great to have time away with our little family visiting our extended family.  Thanks mom and dad for loving on us so well!  What a treat family is - oh summer vacation we love you!!!
