101st Grey Cup Champions!

This was a big sports weekend in our household!  Matt's four teams all played homes games from Friday through Sunday.  There were 6 games played in total and 6 WINS for the Bearcats!!!  This is a HUGE deal!!!  I was living with one VERY proud Athletic Director!

And then on Sunday the Riders won the GREY CUP!!!!

It was a good sports weekend for this household!

read this very true article this past week about the Riders...
http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/erin-chrusch/rider-nation-saskatchewan_b_4325349.html

"Rider Pride is about so much more than a football team. We cheer for the Riders because deep down we love where we came from, even if the rest of the world doesn't understand why. We cheer for the Riders because it is the thread that binds us together, no matter where we've ended up. We cheer for the Riders because we believe in the strength of community. We're loyal whether the team wins or loses because cheering for them has very little to do with the game.
It has everything to do with being proud of a place that part of us will always call Home"

Mish Mash

A little bit from the past week...

Abbotsford's Target has finally opened and it is such a TREAT!!!

we have already been multiple times

Mom & Dad Morgan were out for a week - we took full advantage of the situation on so many different levels - it was such a treat to spend time with them and as always so fun for us to have extra help with Sully!

Mom and I made 25 freezer meals one day

mom got me my first Starbucks Christmas drink of the season!

we went on a few different date nights (yes we are at Walmart on our date night - Christmas present buying)

Matt and I went to our new movie theatre in town - we went to a movie and were the only ones in the entire theatre - let's hear it for Thursday night date nights!!!

we sometimes dress as a team

Sully's birthday love continues with gifts from our good friends in Lloyd - a cute Sully hat and wonderfully soft blanket!  He loves both items!

we are getting into the Christmas season at our house - I made stockings this year for everyone - I have a few more crafting items yet to go...

Shoebox Packing

Matt and I have been packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child ever since we were married. This year Sully participated in our tradition.  Sully was of course extremely helpful - he tested out all of the toys just to make sure they all worked and were good enough to give away :)

Shoeboxes are such a great way to be able to give to others!  Samaritans Purse has a program that you can track where your box ends up - I think that will be fun for Sully someday!
Praying that the boys that receive these boxes will have as much fun unpacking them as we did packing them!

Happy 1st Birthday Sullivan Richard!

We had a little party with friends to celebrate Sully's first year of life!

the night before after Sully was tucked into bed the birthday fairies showed up and did a little decorating - the fairies were both 6 foot 5 men - but there 1st birthday decorating skills were amazing :)

I am so thankful that Hailey is artistic and was so willing to help make Sully's birthday cake so amazing - it turned out better than my mind imagined and the only tool she had to use was a butter knife!

November 11 starting with an early morning facetime to Nana & Papa

Sully didn't know what to do with the streamers - he grabbed one pulled it aside and quickly crawled through to get out :)

early morning presents from family

later that afternoon it was PARTY TIME with friends!
