CBC's littlest fan

A couple of weeks ago Matt did some crafting - he made a tiny little jersey for Menno to wear to a volleyball game. On Saturday night Menno showed up in his jersey - so cute! On the front of the jersey is the Bearcat symbol and on the back it says Kaminski and number 48 - Matt's number is 4 and Dan's is 8.

American Thanksgiving

Becca came up from Oregon for American Thanksgiving. On Thursday we had about 15 cm of fresh snow fall, needless to say we were a little late in getting back after picking Becca up. Dan was left in charge of the feast! When we got back to the house Dan had the meat ready, biscuits in the oven and the potatoes ready to be mashed...no big deal:)
Sitting down for our feast
Dessert - oreo cheesecake
After supper the boys had to go to volleyball pracitce so Becca and I went out to enjoy the snow.
Snow makes everything seem so clean and peaceful!

and then there was Black Friday

Black Friday, the day after American Thanksgiving, is the biggest shopping day of the year in the states - in our house Black Friday is the beginning of all things Christmas! We started off Friday morning with cinnamon buns!

They were good, but not quite as good as our Auntie Cindi's!
Next on our Christmas list was put up the tree! Take a very close look at this cute little ordnament:)
Here are Becca and I fluffing the tree.
We had to take a Timmy's break for Becca - she had to get her fill in while she was in Canada.
This is evidence of Dan helping put up the tree - he put one very important ordanment on and then went to pick us all up coffee's.

Putting the star on
Friday evening, after a CBC win, we came home and watched Elf.
Saturday morning we continued our Christmas prep with Christmas baking.
Sooo many cookies
We had to have some Roughrider cookies too - in honor of the Grey Cup.

The finished product
Our prep is done and now we will sit back and enjoy. We love spending evenings sitting in front of the Christmas tree!

Treats!

I have been working towards finishing my Certificate of Neonatology. I completed six credits this past fall. On Wednesday night I e-mailed in my last paper of the semester - so nice to be done! Matt came home from practice with a little treat for me - I love treats:)
Had to take a picture of these green grass ball things - you have to touch them - I have never seen anything like them.

this is what we do...

wondering why we don't have any exciting pictures of our past week - this is why...

Baby it's COLD outside!

Today was the big Fall Classic Run day...they call it the last great race of the year. The race was in Vancouver at UBC campus. The high today in Vancouver was 1 degree:( So yesterday I drove out to Vancouver to pick up my race pack...today I ran 10 k and it felt great! I may or may not have ran it on a tread mill in the comfort of my gym...but none the less I ran it!

Missed all the excitement of the crowds and the after party, but it is just to cold to run outside!

Learning, Love & Laughter

Mom and Dad Kaminski were out this past weekend for a visit. They were able to see the a volleyball game on Thursday night - which CBC won - whoot whoot! Then on Friday night we went downtown to see Body Worlds...a fascinating exhibit at Science World about the human body. After the exhibit we played a little...
just a giant piano that you play with your feet - no big deal!
mom playing a harp with no strings
it was a beautiful night
Science World = small, dad = huge!
mom playing in the leaves
we went out for dinner downtown, walked around robson and did a little window shopping. on the way back to the car the boys stopped to get a Japadog (google it...it's weird) and to wash down the Japadog a Starbucks was needed - it's Christmas cup time!
It was a great day!

Christmas in November

This year we won't get to see the Kaminski side of the family over Christmas - so on Sat, around noon, we decided spur of the moment to have our family Christmas before Mom & Dad K flew out that evening at 7 pm. Mom K and I headed out around 1 in the afternoon and we were eating our Christmas feast by 5 that evening. We even managed to get a few gifts and put a few Christmas decorations out.
