7 year Desk Set!

Every year for our wedding anniversary Matt has gotten me the "gift for the year."  This year the modern gift was a desk set which was so perfect as I had been wanting a little office for quite some time!

Matt and Sully found this little number at a local garage sale

and after stripping, sanding and painting...

this is the finished product - I love it!!!

May Phone Dump

Some random happenings from the month of May as told by my phone :)

a lovely friend from work is getting married in June - we celebrated her upcoming nuptials on a warm night in May

little B taking a nap in the stroller while mama gets her exercise on!

we had a playdate with sweet Ayla - these two had a little lunch on the patio - how cute is this little patio set made just for little people?!

B playing with his new to him toy!

Matt and Sully have been enjoying searching for treasures at local garage sales - somehow Sully always seems to come home with free finds (I blame it on his eyelashes) - last week he scored this cool floor puzzle

blue eyed baby

brotherly love

B & E - they had the same due date and were born just two weeks apart

a couple of weeks ago I had the afternoon to myself - somehow I still ended up in a hardware store - my husband has rubbed off on me

celebrating Auntie Tricia's Birthday

some loving with Papa & Nana

B getting his jump on!

Sully told his dad one night that he was going to read his own bedtime story :)

Sully collecting and organizing his treasures

sleeping in church is only socially acceptable when you are this age and oh so cute!

we finally got around to moving Sully's sandbox outside!

we had a small group BBQ this past month - all of the kids were eating while watching two little kittens play in the garden - dinner and entertainment!

we celebrated friends of our birthday - Matt made a Boston Creme Cake for the occasion!

the Hastings came to visit!  it was nice to catch up with them over brunch!

Sully especially enjoyed Mr. Hastings - they spent some time "farming" in the sandbox together!

Thursday night in the ER

We had plans for last night - we were busy getting our patio set up after our deck had been pressure washed when our night took a different turn.  Sully was prancing around the patio barefoot (which is not unusual in our house) and landed on a patio light bulb that immediately crushed under his little foot cutting him quite deeply - there was a ton of blood.  We wrapped him his foot up with tea towels and then were off to emerg to get it stitched up.

5 hours later (WAY past bedtime), 2 x-rays later (to check for broken glass), 5 stitches were put in - we are very thankful for our healthcare system but wouldn't mind if we don't have to use it for many years to come!

our makeshift bandage - tea towels and a grocery bag

Sully was pumped that the bed went up and down

even without supper and it being HOURS past bedtime Sully was in good spirits

the "hole" as Sully called it

stitched up nicely

after 5 hours of sitting around this little guy was ready to go home
in the past year Sully has been glued together and stitched together - I think we are good now till he's at least 16!

Let's Go On A Date - May! (and a 7th Anniversary celebrated!)

May's date was a gooder...see the date card for the details...

we loaded the kids up and set out on an adventure - we saw new roads and sites - we could have gone all night but Branson made it very clear that he was done being in his carseat ;)

the day of our May date was also our 7th anniversary
we have many traditions that we do every year when we celebrate our anniversary - one of them being I always try on my wedding dress - it was tight this year but Matt got me zipped in!

7 years with this guy - 2 kids later and many memories made - I love him so much - I am so thankful for the amazing man he is - here's to many more years to come!

Sir Branson - 4 Months!

4 MONTHS - 17lbs - 25 inches

Feeding - Not much has changed in this department over the last month.  You are still feeding between 5-6 times a day with one of those feeds being in the night. You take eating very seriously - like it's your job :)

Sleeping - You like to have three naps a day (although have had the odd day that you only needed two naps becuase they were so long!).  Normally you have three naps, one long, one medium and one catnap to end your day.  You are getting better and better at putting yourself to sleep.  You had a couple of rough nights about a week ago that we are going to call your four month sleep regression, but since then you have been back to normal.  You are sleeping 12 hours most nights with one little feed sometime in there.  I am so thankful that you are a good sleeper!!!

Milestones - You laugh and it's the best sound ever!!!  You are espeically happy around bath time and give the most giggles then.  You also think sneezes are hilarious.  You are seeing more and more of the world as days go by.  You watch your brother all day long.  You are so very close to rolling over from your back to your front.  You are no longer swaddled when you sleep. You have been sitting in your bumbo seat more and more and just the other day tried out your jolly jumper for the first time!

Likes - your mama, daddy & brother, eating, bath time, your toys (you already have sme favorites!)

Dislikes - being overtired, being put to bed when you don't think your ready, thinking your alone

Funtimes -  Your Nana & Papa came out to visit you this month.  You attended your first Birthday party and celebrated London turning one!  You went on numerous playdates with your brother and mom.  And you celebrated your first Mother's Day!

Happy 4 Months little B - we are so thankful for you!

Nana & Papa Visit

My parents were out to visit this past month.  It's always a pleasure to have them visit.  Sully loves the extra attention and I enjoy a little extra one on one time with little B!

Papa & Nana with the boys

my mom made matching aprons for the boys to wear when they cook - Sully has already put his to good use

sandbox playing (I think mom was thankful for the fancy benches!)

Sully is currently OBSESSED with garbage trucks.  My dad found a toy garbage truck and brought it out for Sully - he loves it and daily play "garbage truck"

Painting time with Papa

Branson wanted in on the action too

While my parents were out visiting they celebrated the 40th Wedding Anniversary - what a impressive thing that is!  My parents are such great example of the beauty of a God centered marriage - I have learned so much from them and how they live life.

They are currently on a big 40th anniversary road trip through the mountains - planned by my dad - so cute!
