Boys Day!

Whenever I work on the weekends I'm never sure of what Matt and Sully are up to at home, but I know they have a ton of fun!  This past weekend was no exception - here are some photos of their day together!

They spent the morning fishing at a local lake and playing outside.

After nap time they built a massive fort in the basement!!!

Matt sent me the picture on the left saying "pajamas, pizza, pop, pomme juice (aka apple juice), peas and pigskin (football)...in a fort = PARTY TIME" - I loved the alliteration :)
BEST DAD EVER!!!

CBC Athletic Retreat 2014

While we were playing in the snow in Alberta, Matt was sweating it out at his Athletic Retreat :)  He had a great weekend away with his athletes - he is so excited about the his coaches and athletes this year - can't wait to watch the year unfold!

Here is a group shot of his coaches and athletes!

Trip to Alberta

Matt works a TON in September - with leadership training, new student orientation, normal office hours and an athletic retreat thrown in there - it makes for a lot of excitement, but also a lot of work!  With Matt working long hours it was a good time for Nana to come visit, BUT Papa decided that since it would cost the same for Nana to come visit BC as for us to visit Alberta (and then he got to see us too) that it would be better for us to come his way :)  Sully and I were excited to make the trip!

Sully LOVED all the excitement at the airport - he pointed out every plane and truck/tractor he could see!

We scored a seat for Sully on our way out there - that's what happens when you willingly choose the most undesirable seat on the plane - at the back across from the bathroom ;)

Having the time of his life! He ate, watch TV, played, flirted with the flight attendants!

We had some beautiful weather the first few days we were home - Sully spent most of his time outdoors.

He enjoyed playing with mom and dads neighbors - they have a three year old son and lots of fun toys!

My friend Alise came down for a visit - what a treat to see her and get to catch up face to face - Alise and I lived together my first year out of university - she came into my life at such a pivotal time - I so value her friendship!

One of our many selfie pictures we sent to Matt to let him know we were thinking about him while we were away.

After a lovely fall weather weekend we got a special treat of SNOW in September!

Sully loved it!!!!  Don't judge the outfit - we left HOT weather in BC and were not fully prepared for snow in AB - we had to make due with what we had :)

Snowman building with Papa!

One morning I snuck away to do a little shopping by myself - what a special treat!!! I visited the Bass Pro Shop - had to send Matt a picture of me with all the fishing rods.

I met a special friend for lunch at the mall - so fun to spend time with this lovely - we have been friends through a lot of life's seasons - we are now both working mamas - it was so nice to spend time  together!

Morning snuggles with Papa

Sully has such fun visiting his Nana & Papa's - they have a entire closet full of toys that they kept from when we were little - Sully had fun playing with so many "new" toys!

Getting well loved on by Nana & Papa

Before we flew out we stopped by the Bass Pro Shop so Sully could see all the animals

Thanks Nana & Papa for the great visit - we love you lots!
