Christmas Tree Lighting

We kicked off our Christmas season this past weekend with our annual Christmas Tree Lighting.  The weather was gorgeous and Santa and his dancing elves did not disappoint.  We enjoyed the marching band and as always it snowed :)

It's a crowded event so we strap our kids on a go.

Sully was mesmerized by the entire event - he was fun to watch - he soaked it all in - 3 is a magical age.  Branson came for the snuggles :)

we went with our friends the Walls - always fun to share these events with good friends - welcome Christmas!

Sir Branson - 10 Months!

10 Months - 22 lbs - 28 inches

Feeding - You excel at eating!  You breastfeed three times a day, eat three meals a day and normally one snack.  You eat anything!  And you eat a lot!  We are thankful that you are such a good eater!

Sleeping -  Your sleeping skills continue to be a work in progress.  You have had some really good days and nights, but still some really bad ones!  You still are taking 2 naps a day and for the most part they are pretty good.  You nighttimes are hit and miss.  You go for days with good 12 hour sleeps and then you can go for days where you don't want to sleep all night, but instead wake up in the middle of the night to party...your mom and dad are not big into middle of the night partying!  We are hoping that this next month is going to be the month where all things sleepy slumber happen!  We are thankful that despite your bad sleeping habits that you are such VERY happy baby when you are awake!

Milestones - You started to crawl this past month!  You love your newfound independence!  You cruise around, exploring the world around you.  You have learned how to open drawers and pull things off of shelves.  You are able to get up onto your knees and you desperately want to stand up, but haven't quite figured it out yet.  You love to practice walking whenever you can convince someone to hold your little hands.  Your first word is most definitely "Da-da" and you say it with confidence!  You now have 7 teeth!

Likes - eating, peek a boo, playing with/pulling hair, music, dancing, bath time

Dislikes - teething

Funtimes - You experienced your first Halloween this past month.  You dressed up as an owl - you were so cute!  Your Grams and Gramps came out to visit for a week - we had a fun time together as family!

Sully's 3rd Birthday!

Sully turned 3 on this past week!

We started our morning off with birthday pancakes!

and after breakfast it was present time!

he got a new "garbage man" vest :)

after present time the boys headed off to the CBC gym to play a bit and then on the way home from the gym they stopped at Home Depot to check out the power tools  - just a few of Sully's favorite things :)

when the boys got home we were ready to head out and go for a Birthday Hike up Mount Thom

it was suppose to rain but instead was a beautifully crisp fall day - perfect for hiking

we had a little picnic lunch at the summit (another one of Sully's favorite things to do)

Sully's Birthday is also Remembrance Day...lest we forget...

then it was back home for some late afternoon naps

and then Birthday supper of RIBS!!!

they were enjoyed by all!

and for dessert....CUPCAKES!

it was bedtime but we were waiting for one more Birthday FaceTime call so we had a little wrestle mania in the basement while we waited

we had a great day - full of Sully's favorite things.  it was a treat to have Grams and Gramps out to help us celebrate our big 3 year old!

Gramps & Grams Visit

Gramps and Grams were out this past week for a visit.  It was so good to have them visit.  The boys love their Grams and Gramps!  We got lots of good play time in and also had some extra special fun times!
