Let's Go On a Date: January!

This year for Christmas I gave Matt 12 envelopes.  Each labeled with a month of the year.  And each envelope contains a pre-planned, (mostly) pre-paid date for us.  Some of the dates will take place at home, some are planned for the local area, and some will take us into town.  Some will include Sully, some won't.  All 12 dates are different.

The plan is to open the envelope together at the beginning of the month, look at the calendar and decide on a date.  So right from the beginning of the month, we'll have a fun date to look forward to.

Sully's iPad!

Sully got a very special gift from his Uncle for Christmas - a fancy iPad - now he can Facetime all his family and friends so much easier!!!  Sully even sometimes shares his gift with his mommy and daddy and they LOVE it!!!  THANKS Uncle Nathan - we so appreciate the love:)

This is what Sully thinks of his Uncle...

Winter Frosting

Well winter is in full effect here in Abbotsford - we have been thankful for the cold weather as it has brought blue sky and very little rain!

With winter outside comes a need to change our indoor decor...a little taste of our winter frosting...

Cooking with the K's!

We have decided this year to expand our cooking rwepitware - we (mostly Matt) are planning to cook a new item (one that has never been cooked in our home) at least once a week and hopefully remember to take pictures of our items to share with you all.

So far we have made the following (and neglected to takes pictures)

1. Mozzeralla and Tomotoe Salad
2. Beef Tenderloin with a Mushroom Sauce
3. Coconut Oatmeal Cookies
4. Home Made BBQ Sauce - soooo good!

5. and yummy French Bread!!!

He Rolls!

Sullivan has learned how to get out of tummy time...

(I apologize for my voice on the video...I think I tell Sully that he is a good boy about 500 times! - I'm all about positive reinforcement!)

Master Sullivan - 2 months

Sully is 2 months old today!

He had a very busy month!  He went on his very first plane ride to visit his Grandparent's houses - he celebrated his first Christmas and New Years! - he continues to be grow big (currently 13 lbs.) and tall (currently 23 inches) - he smiles and 'talks' - he is letting his mom sleep for longer stretches at night (sometimes only waking once in the night!!!) - and most recently he has learned to roll over from his front to his back!

I left the room for one minute and come back and Sully had gone all Rambo on me - he was all like "sashes are for girls mom!"

He thought it was soooo funny:)

:)

Your mommy and daddy love you so much little man!

Lloydminster Lovin

While we were in Lloyd for Christmas two great friends threw a baby shower for Sully and I.  It was so fantastic to have so many people come to meet Sully and shower him with so much love!  Lloydminster has such a special place in my heart - I have so many memories and history there!  It was so neat to have people at my shower that knew me when I was a baby and now they were able to meet my baby!

The decor

pom poms

there were cute ties and mustaches all over the place

the food

"Welcome Sullivan"

Look at all these smiling beautiful faces...

Leah - speaking some words of wisdom!

Denise - a prayer of blessing over Sully's life

While I opened gifts the shower guests had two different tasks to do...

1. write in a birthday card - each guest was given a different age that they wrote a card for - now Sully has a birthday card written to him for the next 20 some years!

2. every guest was given a blank piece of paper with a letter on it that they were to create an alphabet page with - all of the pages will be lamented and put together to create Sully's first alphabet book - such a cool idea!!!

the women worked hard

Gift Time - Sully was spoiled rotten!

Mrs Oliver blessed us with this BEAUTIFUL quilt!

The AMAZING party planners/hostesses...
