4th Annual Pumpkin Party Night

This past weekend we got together with our good friends for our 4th Annual Pumpkin Party night!  Every year we pick a new way to decorate the kids pumpkins - I think this year was our best idea yet (thank you pinterest)!  We made Potatoe Head Pumpkins - quick, mess free and the big kids loved using the hammer - win, win, win!

I love family traditions and it feels like fall is full of them :)

Sir Branson - 9 Months!

9 Months - 21lbs - 27.5 inches 

Feeding - As of this past week you are down to three breastfeeds a day!!! YAY!  You are growing up!  You enjoy your big boy food so much and would eat all day if we let you!  You have liked almost everything you have tried and are already starting to have favorite foods.

Sleeping -  You have made leaps and bounds in this department in the past month - praise the LORD!!!  I'm SO HAPPY to say that you are sleeping through the night - 12 hours of glorious bliss!!!  You needed a little tough love and no more night snacks and you finally decided that you might as well sleep the entire night.  You continue to have two naps during the day.

Milestones - You added four more teeth to your collection this past month.  You now have a grand total of 6 little chompers.  You are not crawling yet, but you are very good at rocking back and forth on all fours.  You are a rolling champion. You have figured out that you can get exactly where you want to go just by rolling and pivoting on your tummy.  You are a busy little man - exploring the world around you with your newfound rolling accuracy!

Likes - eating, peek a boo, playing with/pulling hair, Sully

Dislikes - teething :(

Funtimes - We celebrated a lot of fun fall things this past month.  You went to your first pumpkin patches, went on a hayride, picked out your first pumpkin & ate your first apples right of the tree.  Nana came to visit and celebrated your first Canadian Thanksgiving with us.  And you hiked your highest mountain to date - Elk Mountain.  You are an awesome little adventurer!

We love you Branson!  Happy 9 Months!

Family Pictures 2015

Last week we had our 2015 Family Photos taken by the very lovely and talented Meghan Bustard Photography.  I am a huge advocate of getting professional photos done once a year - I love looking back over the years and seeing how our family has changed and grown!  I love displaying the photos and adding them to our family yearbook.  Our photobooks are some of my most prized possessions in our home!

So this is 31....

Another year has come and gone and I am now officially "into" my 30's and it feels alright :)  I was blessed to spend the day with my three favorites...

I woke up to a decorated house :)

and a delicious breakfast - anytime I get to eat bacon on a weekday it's a win in my books!

the weather did not disappoint so we were off the park after nap time (notice Branson - always has a chunk of hair in his little hand)

we love our kids but we also LOVE time without them - Matt and I had a wonderful supper out at the Keg

followed by a movie at the theatre

It was a great day - full of ordinary blessings and extra special love from so many - what a beautiful combo! 

Let's Go On A Date - October!

This was an AWESOME date!!!  We took a trail ride through the BEAUTIFUL Hatzic Valley - we rode through forests, rivers and beside mountains!  We had a perfect fall day for our ride and with all the different colors of leaves...it was stunning!
