Gifts from a Friend.

A lovely couple sent us out a Christmas gift and included was a gift to bring to the NICU for the babies for Christmas - how great!

Starbucks Cups!

Someone special sent us a Starbucks gift card - we have been enjoying it and loving the Christmas cups!

Grouse Mountain

Matt and I have been waiting for weeks to head up to Grouse Mountain to have a fun filled Christmas day with horse drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, beautiful views, Santa's workshop etc etc...let's just say the advertising sure beat the actual event...ask me about it - I would love to share more!  Behind me is a picture of the skating rink - VERY SMALL and no one could skate on it - also if you look closely you can see an area of ice that is coned off because of melting - oh BC people trying to participate in Prairie activities:)
This tree was apart of the 'Parade of Trees' (note: not a parade AT ALL!) - Matt liked it - it was decorated by Home Depot.
The redeeming part of the day was that we got to see our very first reindeer!!!  Did you know that these animals can pull a sleigh at 50km/hr!?!  They were much shorter than I thought - this is Dancer in the picture below!

Time to Decorate!

Well December 1st was here and our tree had FINALLY made it safely to us so it was TIME TO DECORATE!!!
This is what the tree looked like to start with.
Here's Matt fluffing the branches.
We were EXCITED to be decorating out tree:)
The finished project...we had to move the furniture around to make everything fit!  It's a beautiful tree!
The real reason for the season is represented here...

Beautiful November

We have had a lovely, mild, fairly dry November.  Here is a beautiful sunset we had the other night.  We serve a creative God!

Cookie Exchange

I went to a cookie exchange this past weekend.  It was a good time with many cookies to be had, however in order to attend such an event you must for make your own cookies to bring.  I made no bake cookies (saved me hours of my life).  We had 12 people come to the event which meant I have to 10x the recipe and make 144 cookies!  I used 2kg of oatmeal in one baking session.

Old School Bowling

Good times at the local bowling had on Sat. night - it was like a cultural experience going to the alley!

American Thanksgiving

The Christmas season begins after American Thanksgiving is celebrated - we started off our season with watching 'Elf'!!!

PLAYER OF THE WEEK!

Matt was player of the week for all of BCCAA volleyball.  He is also second in the entire league for kills!!!  Here is a link to the article on the BCCAA website
