2017 Family Pictures!

"We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone."

So thankful for another year of family photos to capture this crazy, exhausting, special time in life.  We used our same photographer as last year (Julie Christine Photography) and she was amazing.  Going into the photos I was worried that Branson would full out refuse to show any interest in the photos (he proved us wrong and hammed it up!), I rushed a newborn feed to try and not be late for the photos (rookie mistake I know, but life happens) and I had a HORRIFC hair cut just hours before our scheduled photos...soooo things were not looking good, but I look at these pictures and don't see any of that. I see two tired, but happy parents and three little humans that really do have our whole heart.   These pictures capture so many things that I want to remember forever - how Sully is such a responsible older brother, always caring for his siblings and making sure they are doing what is right - I see Branson, well being Branson :) - and little tiny Everly, who will never be this little again, but will always be our baby - these things I want to remember!  My heart is full!

Miss Everly Mae - 1 month

Weight - 9 lbs

 Height - 20.5"

Feeding - You are an awesome little eater!  You like to eat every 3 hours and have, thankfully, had a few 4 and 5 hour stretches at night!

Sleeping - You nap all day long, in your car seat, your wrap, the wagon and your favorite grey chairs in the living room.  For the most part you like to be rocked to sleep.  You are having a bit of a tricky time sleeping at night.  You go to bed alright and sleep well for your first stint (even up to 5 hours at a time), but come 2:30 you do not like to sleep - for an hour or more your are fussy/gassy, wanting to sleep, but not giving in.  Normally after 4am you are back to sleeping.  We think you realize you get our undivided attention at night so you are taking full advantage, but mommy and daddy are getting old and we are tired!  You had your first night in the crib last night and you had your best night yet!

Milestones - You graduated from sleeping your pack and play in our bedroom to sleeping in your crib. You rolled over once - from your front to your back, but we think it was a bit of an accident!

Likes - Sleeping, your mom, dad and brothers, being held, eating!

Dislikes - Being gassy :(

Fun Times - You have had an action packed first month of life!  You have been to the beach, Fort Langley, the USA, and Chilliwack.  You have had many visitors wanting to meet you and overnight stays from Nana and Gigi and Gramps.

on Saturday morning we introduced Everly to our beloved downtown - she slept through all our favorite stops but we enjoyed ourselves!

Matt had the opportunity to go sturgeon fishing with friends from college - they had a great time - catching 4 in all with the biggest one (7 footer) getting away just after they had spent over an hour pulling it in, but they were able to see it and Matt said being able to fight it for an hour made it all worth it :)
