Pottery Painting

Tricia and I visited Abbotsford's Clay Cottage last Saturday morning.  We had a wonderful morning catching up on life, sipping away on our tea and painting pottery!

Trishy's work of art

my plate

growing up my parents had a "you are special today" plate and I have always wanted one - it was fun to make my own - I'm excited to see what the finished product will look like once it is glazed and fired

a lovely Saturday morning!

CBC Athletic Banquet

Matt hosted his second Athletic Banquet as Athletic Director on Friday night.  This is our 6th time attending the event in the last 7 years (we missed one year as we were living in Uganda).  The evening is a night full of celebrating and gratitude of another athletic year gone by!  It is always fun to attend this event and I couldn't be more blessed to attend as the wife of the very handsome A.D.! (special thanks to Mark Klausen, CBC's Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the great photos)

We were greeted by Matt's WONDERFUL right hand woman - Hannah - when we first arrived!

the decor was great

and the food AMAZING!!!

there were some great speeches and a lot of laughter

and many many awards given out!

CBC's 2013-2014 Teams...

Woman's Basketball

Woman's Volleyball

Men's Volleyball

Men's Basketball had a lot of guys away so they didn't take a group shot.

Hannah and her minor officials

Matt and I with our good friends Phil and Cheryl - we first hung out after our first Athletics Banquet back in 2008 - it was the beginning of our friendship as a party of 4 - we have been great friends ever since!

As per our tradition - we had a little after party hang out with Phil and Cheryl following the banquet.

This banquet wraps up another athletic year for Matt - the end is always bittersweet - we are excited for a little slower pace though over the summer...until next September :)

Ensuite Complete!

We completed our ensuite a couple of weeks ago and what treat it is to walk into every morning!

The old ensuite was olive green with a wallpaper trim, pinkish counter top, peeling up linoleum & a brass shower surround!  This was a small room to reno, but there was much work to be done!

Our Completed To Do List:
- strip wallpaper
- remove full wall mirror
- paint
- new baseboards & casings
- new lighting
- new mirror
- new countertop
- replace faucet

- replace shower door
- replace bathroom accessories (toilet paper holder, towel ring, towel hooks)
- decorate

Before and After Pictures...

the tile is by far my favorite part of this room!

our 1st out of 3 bathroom renos is complete - we may or may not have already started reno's on our downstairs bathroom...stay tuned :)

and for supper - green pancakes and green smoothies

and this guy - well I kissed him and he's not even irish ;)
