Volleyball Nationals in SK

Matt spent last week in Moose Jaw, SK with his Men's Volleyball team at Nationals.  The boys played well and fought hard (even after losing their starting setter to an injury) and came out with fourth place in the country.  Pretty impressive all things considered. Always blows my mind that little CBC is such a force to be reckoned with at a tournament showcasing the best college teams in the country.  In the bronze medal game they played against a school in Ontario that has 80,000 students - CBC has 411 students - and they had already defeated this team in the first game of the tournament.  Not only are they great volleyball players, but they are good guys - they won the "Fair Play" award of the tournament which is basically the nicest team award.  They made their school & fans proud!

Matt said they had a good crew of fans that travelled many miles to be there - Matt outfitted the CBC crew with CBC gear!

And for those of us that couldn't travel and be there in real life...we spent a lot of time on our computers watching the games online.

Because of the time change one of the games started at 8am BC time - Sully woke up ready to cheer on the Bearcats - he was totally into it - must be his father's son.

Such a great group of guys - well done boys!  Go Cats Go!
