Happy Birthday Canada!

We had a fun day celebrating Canada's Birthday!  The day was HOT (similar to the last couple of weeks), but that didn't stop our fun!  We started out our celebration by attending our town's Canada Day Parade - it was blistering and we were all sweating but it was so worth it to see the excitement on Sully's face as all the different floats and vehicles drove by.

Sully was all over the waving - he waved back to anyone who waved at him - which at a parade happens a lot!

Branson is happy to be Canadian!

After the parade we had to have a quick dip in our "pool" to cool off!

And later that night - one of my favorite Canada Day traditions...Matt's AMAZING strawberry shortcakes - he whipped them up even in this crazy heat!

We put the boys down to bed and then two hours later woke them up for the fireworks show!  Here we are waiting for the show - still crazy hot out at 10pm at night - all of the adults were ready for bed but the toddlers still had tons of energy - they ran around the field until the show started!

Happy Canada Day!  We are SO BLESSED to live in this country and we are PROUD to be Canadian!
