Laundry Room Reno

We needed a little break from our big kitchen reno - we needed some instant gratification of starting and finishing a room - we inherited some free laminate flooring from my sis and so the laundry room reno commenced one September evening.  We are getting faster at the whole reno thing - from start to finish this room took four nights to finish and we are so happy with the finished product - makes doing laundry way more fun :)

The before shots are from when we first toured the home during an open house...

that beautiful barn window was a gift from a friend - I LOVE it!!!

this amazing gem was painted by the talented Shelley Racz - it reminds us of so many things we love...isn't it gorgeous?!

The little frame as the following quote in it:
Today I will be THANKFUL for all the little socks, the grass stained jeans & the endless piles of laundry.  For there will come a day when the laundry basket is empty and these days will be profoundly missed.

Our completed to do list...
- new light fixture
- paint ceiling
- paint walls
- new baseboards and casing
- new register
- install laminate floor
- sew a sink skirt
- hang ironing board
- hang clothes rod
- install hardware on cupboards
- rearrange cupboards and add a shelf
- decorate

I think it's my new favorite room in our house!

I know this a little late; but still, congratulations! Your laundry room looks great - it's very functional and organized compared to before. Also, those laminate flooring definitely completed the whole look of your laundry room. You must be very happy and thankful with your sister for giving this to you.
