Evy Mae's first real hike and she loved it!

just riding her motor bike and repping her Gramps' band

both boys wore this sleeper so naturally I had to document their sis wearing it too!

hot days called for river playing

dinner with a  view - you can't tell but the ocean is back there

Sully's class went on their transportation field trip - Matt went as a chaperone - they both had a great time!

there has been many hours of baseball played lately at our house - the boys are obssessed and Evy doesn't mind playing umpire :)

sister is standing on her own these days!

celebrating Courtney and Chris's wedding!

10 Year Anniversary!!!

Matt and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary last week!  Originally we had wanted to go away to celebrate, but then we had an Evy :)  Sooooo instead we a multiple day celebration and it was awesome!

The morning of our anniversary I woke up to this (and I LOVE breakfast in bed)

and this!  The gift for 10 years is diamond and Matt gifted me that beautiful anniversary ring on top!

A gift from Matt's parents surprised us later in the day!

Every year (minus last when I was great with child) I try on my wedding dress in hopes that I can still get it zipped up...

and I could!!!  It was tight but it was fully zipped!

I think Matt looks shocked about the dress zipping up ;)

Dinner that night with family!

After dinner we took this crew to the basement and watched our wedding video - it was fun to share it with our kids!

The next night we went on a double date with these two - we are together a all the time, but ALWAYS with kids, it was a treat to have adult time!!!

Matt had an appointment at UBC so we tacked a little date on the end of it.  We checked out Jericho Beach

and had supper in Fort Langley on the way home.

Our final date activity was a day being tourist in Lynden!

We enjoyed antiquing, window shopping and lunching together...just the two of us!  Thanks to Nana for holding down the fort at home!

10 years, 3 kids, 4 houses, 5 vehicles, and soon much life lived!  I am thankful for this man and the promises that we made to each other, he truly is my favorite person in the whole world and the best team mate to do life with! 10 years done, a lifetime to go!

Eugene

On the long weekend we made the trip down to Auntie Becca's house!  Becca only lives about 6.5 hrs away, but there are TWO major cities on that route and we hit some GROSS traffic, making our trip more like 12 hours.  The kids did good all things considered, but we did make a few brief pit stops to stretch our legs!

This was our final pit stop...we were planning to eat at Becca's that evening, but hours later we were still on the road so we ate these fantastic waffles - made the traffic seem not so bad!

12 hours later and we MADE IT!!!

Our time at Becca's was worth the trip!  The kids had a great time, Auntie Becca is so good at including them in things...like cooking!

Becca sent us on a few little errands and shopping fun sans kids....what a gift!!!

More kitchen helping :)

Visiting a local farm

with very friendly goats

and beautiful produce!

make your own pizza night

walking to the park right around the corner from Auntie's house - they had a baseball tournament going on and the boys were obsessed with it - we have been playing baseball, daily, since!

It was a quick visit, but a good one - thanks for having us Auntie Becca!!!
