Vancouver Island

We spent last week on Vancouver Island with this crazy crew!  It was a great time away with the Morgan family! The weather was perfect and we had a great mix of fun activities and relaxing times!

While we were on the island Becca had a birthday - fun to be able to celebrate together!

the typical "Morgan" family picture

checking out some of the local attractions

mini golf

Sully was a fan of the motorbike!

bumper boats!  we all got soaked!  dad was ruthless!!

hanging out with Auntie & Uncle

Branson has slept in a lot of different places this summer during our travels - here he is sleeping next to the jacuzzi tub

one day we went up to Parksville to see some of the sand sculptures

then we headed down to the water for some exploring

siblings (and photo bomb by Branson)

we enjoyed the pools at our resort - this one was Sully size

Branson loves the water!

really he just loves life!

one night we went paddle boarding - it was magical - the water was perfect and as we paddled sealions would pop their heads up all around - it was definitely a hightlight of the trip!

I love paddle boarding...being on the water but still being dry?!  it's the best of both worlds!

while we were on the island we also went to visit friends of ours that use to live in Lloydminster with us

they have a little farm which was very educational for Sully :)

talking a walking tour of their property

farm life is hard work - Sully was asleep within minutes after the farm

back to the resort...island life is a treat!

a little afternoon walk in the sun

Branson getting to know his Papa and Nana

my boys :)

we did a lot of good eating on this trip (thanks mom and dad!)

the second half of the week we moved North up the island to a house on the ocean - the deck was huge - we spent most of our time out there

treasure hunting when the tide was out

starfish!

Matt and Sully went fishing a number of times while we were at the beach house.  One morning I went fishing with Matt and Sully...my idea of fishing looked like the left picture - a good book and a coffee.  After a few hours of watching I wanted to do a little casting and low and behold I caught my first little fishy with Sully's little rod - it was thrilling!

on a boat - they ferry ride on our way home from the island
Another great trip away!  We have had a magical summer - full of fantastic vacations!

July Phone Dump

Another month has come and gone...here are some pics from my phone...

this guy is fun to get up from his nap!

a little after dinner frozen yogurt treat - cause it's HOT out!

can't stay mad at this face...even when he has a terribly short nap :)

and then there's this face :)

a little outdoor art session (note our extremely dead grass)

sitting up like a big boy!

Sully is obsessed with lawn mowers and Miss Amy was kind enough to let him push hers around

one sneeze

we had friends who were traveling through Abby stay the night with us - we enjoyed an evening out on the patio with them

B's first swing

"Junion Helper"

Matt made a natural wood amplifier for his iPhone - works great and looks pretty too!

"Oliver"

Trish and I like to take in at least one "cultural" event together annually - this year we attended Oliver in Stanley Park at Theatre Under the Stars.  The weather was perfect and the show was very well done.  And as always it's great to have an evening out with Trishy!

19 Greens Date Night

Beautiful friends of ours offered to come hang out with our kids for the night so Matt and I could go on a date night - what a treat!

Matt took me to 19 greens - it's a real grass mini golf course.  It was a beautiful night and fun to get out and play with just my hubby!

After golf we grabbed coffees and went for a walk in a magical neighborhood in Chilliwack called Garrison Crossing!  Summer loving...we had a blast!
