We spent last week on Vancouver Island with this crazy crew! It was a great time away with the Morgan family! The weather was perfect and we had a great mix of fun activities and relaxing times!

Branson has slept in a lot of different places this summer during our travels - here he is sleeping next to the jacuzzi tub
one day we went up to Parksville to see some of the sand sculptures
then we headed down to the water for some exploring

one night we went paddle boarding - it was magical - the water was perfect and as we paddled sealions would pop their heads up all around - it was definitely a hightlight of the trip!
I love paddle boarding...being on the water but still being dry?! it's the best of both worlds!
while we were on the island we also went to visit friends of ours that use to live in Lloydminster with us
they have a little farm which was very educational for Sully :)

the second half of the week we moved North up the island to a house on the ocean - the deck was huge - we spent most of our time out there

Matt and Sully went fishing a number of times while we were at the beach house. One morning I went fishing with Matt and Sully...my idea of fishing looked like the left picture - a good book and a coffee. After a few hours of watching I wanted to do a little casting and low and behold I caught my first little fishy with Sully's little rod - it was thrilling!

Another great trip away! We have had a magical summer - full of fantastic vacations!
