CBC Athletic Christmas

Since Matt has become AD we have hosted his staff for their Christmas Party.  The night is filled with food, fellowship and fun - normally in the form of some wonderfully corny games!

Here's some pictures of the fun - I wish they were videos - put a ton of competitive people in one room and play games with them - it's highly entertaining :)

Cheryl and I met 7 years ago when our then finance & boyfriend were playing volleyball together for CBC.  Now our husbands are Athletic Director and Head Volleyball Coach at the school and we are sharing the experience of being pregnant and soon delivering babies just a month different from each other!

3rd Annual Christmas Brinner PJ Party

For the 3rd year in a row we have gotten together with good friends to share a Christmas Brinner PJ Party!  It's fun and simple - the kids come in their Christmas PJ's and we share breakfast for dinner - it's great!

Sharing our feast together!

Here's a little flashback for you...2012

December Date Night!

While Becca was here she very graciously offered to have a night at home with Sully so that Matt and I could go on a date night!!!

Our first stop was to the Vancouver Christmas Market - this has been on my to do list for years - it's a cute little German inspired Christmas Market with food and crafts that they erect downtown Vancouver every Christmas season.

it was a clear, gorgeous, chilly night!

after we checked out the market we headed out for dinner - the Grey Cup was on the evening we were downtown - we ate dinner right next to the stadium and were able to watch the game from the restaurant - kind of cool.

after dinner we headed across the street to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre to see Stuart McLean!!!  What a fun show!  Matt and I laughed out loud throughout the entire show.  We often listen to Stuart's story telling while on long road trips - it was fun to see him in real life - he is very animated!  He also had some great musical guests that got us into the Chrsitmas spirit!
Love spending quality time with this guy!

American Thanksgiving

Auntie Becca came to visit for over the weekend to help us celebrate American Thanksgiving!  Sully had a great time playing with his Auntie!

This years bird...I still haven't figured out the secret to making these taste perfect!

ready to feast!

full bellies, full hearts!

as is tradition in our house - the evening after our Thanksgiving meal Sully opens a gift - filled with a pair of new Christmas PJ's and Christmas books

the morning after Thanksgiving we always eat cinnamon buns...

and then put up the Christmas tree!

the next morning we were off to church - how cute is this little man - Sully's Aunt & Uncle gave him this coat & pants for Christmas last year they still/finally fit - the ladies at church were swooning :)

back home from church and we had another special gift waiting for us from a good friend - a special book to help us celebrate the advent season AND a really cool talking/interactive card - Sully loved it!

that afternoon - the boys put up the outdoor lights - it was COLD (well BC cold) :)

For the finished look of the lights on the house you will have to come visit and check it out in real life  but let's just say you have never seen such perfectly spaced out Christmas lights :)
