Last weekend we made the trip over to Vancouver Island. Matt's Woman's Basketball team made history by making it into provincials. He wanted to be there to support them and we thought what a great excuse for a little family getaway!

The ferry ride is a fun part of the entire "island" experience and God gave us two sunny filled ferry rides - which this time of year is a miracle!
We stayed at an AirBnB that was very comfy!

we ended up at a coffee shop to warm up
after a quick warm up we went to check out the marina
we were able to meet up with Matt's Papa and Shan, who just arrived to spend 6 weeks on the island
on Saturday we went to see Papa and Shan's place on the island and went exploring on their beach
so many fun shells and crabs
we had dinner on Saturday night in a 100 year old firehall that has been converted into a restaurant - very fun for the boys!
what fun to get away for the weekend - just the 5 of us! we love to be together, relaxing and exploring and all the sunshine was a beautiful added bonus!
