One of our most anticipated trips of the year is our our trip to Mahood Lake. This is our third summer going and every year has been equally as wonderful. And an extra bonus this year was that we had AWESOME weather!
it takes 6 hours to get there...there were MANY books read on the road!
Ev got a paddle board for her birthday - we were happy that she let us borrow it...

we also did a lot of puzzles (like one a day!) - it was strangely obsessive and oh so relaxing!

we got the older kids out for a tube ride (Sully's first one)
one evening we had some special visitors - fun to have Russ and Michelle come for the night (the night they were there we had a puzzle competition...boys vs. girls....cause we are cool like that!)

we had a few epic thunderstorms while we were there - this was a cool night - the sun was shining on the trees, with the contrast of darkness in the rest of the sky and lake and then a double rainbow...God is an AMAZING artist!
so thankful for these special friends - thankful they are willing to share their cabin with us and thankful for the memories we continue to make together! until next year!
