Continuing south through California we had to get creative with our pit stops - we couldn't just stop at parks as the weather was crazy hot! Instead we found water to play in - here's Sully at a splash park in Sacramento where we stopped to have lunch.
Our next stop was Fresno, California to meet this guy...
& of course visit with his Mommy and Daddy too!
While we were in Fresno we went to Sequoia National Park to see the BIG trees!

The trees were indeed magnificently big, as were the pinecones!
that's a fallen tree - they are so big that you can walk through them - back in the day people use to live in them
We had a great time catching up with good friends in Fresno - we so wish we lived closer so that these two boys could play together, but will appreciate any time we do get to spend together!
