Abby Family Christmas

Every year before we fly home to be with our family for Christmas we celebrate Christmas as just our little small family.  Last night was our Abbotsford Christmas celebration.

I was coming off a nightshift so I slept during the day and Sully was at his babysitters - when Matt and Sully arrived home they rang the doorbell - rose in hand and said that we were going to go out to dinner on a date :)

Dinner out - such a treat!

Sully thought his pirate ship was pretty cool

After we ate we came back home - Sully got in his jammies we got ready to read the Christmas story together.

and then it was time for Sully's gift - a baseball and bat

Matt teaching him some technique - Sully LOVED his new toy!

and then his stocking gift...

his yearly Christmas tree ornament - a basketball - one of his favorite things!

we had to hang it on the tree before bedtime

Merry Christmas from the 4 of us :)

December Photo Dump

Our December has been full of parties and festivities - it's been a busy fun month!  Here are some random pictures from our fun.

I went in to check on Sully the other night and this is how he was sleeping - exactly like his daddy sleeps!

Twinkle Tour 2014

Ever since Matt and I have been married we have gone on a yearly Twinkle Tour to check out the local holiday lights.  This year was particularly fun - Sully LOVED driving around looking at lights - he kept saying "more, more!"

All "bundled" up and ready to head out (it was plus 9 when we started our tour - we were sweating)

Sully checking out some lights - the snowman was a gift Matt won at one of his Christmas parties - it's like a party in your car - perfect for a twinkle tour evening!

At one of the houses with the big light displays a Santa sits for you to get your picture with.  Sully was so excited the entire time prior to meeting the big guy - he was all "Ho, Ho, Ho" until we got close...the pictures tell the rest of the story :)

After Santa shared a candy cane with him he was ok but still not pumped.

pretty amazing light scenes in Abby

we drive by this house every year - every year they add something new to their display :)

Part of the tradition involves Timmy's - we got our warm drinks (and an empty cup for Sully) and finished our evening off at a drive through Nativity at a local church.
Such a great family tradition - crazy to think that next year we will be a party of 4 driving through town - getting our twinkle on!

Small Group Christmas Party

On Wednesday night we had our Small Group Christmas Party - it was sweet chaos!  We invited the kids to the event - we had 13 adults & 10 kids - very soon there will be 2 more babes to add to the group!

After supper the kids decorated Christmas cookies

here are the men while the woman were wrangling the children and their cookie decorating experience :)

CBC Athletic Christmas

Since Matt has become AD we have hosted his staff for their Christmas Party.  The night is filled with food, fellowship and fun - normally in the form of some wonderfully corny games!

Here's some pictures of the fun - I wish they were videos - put a ton of competitive people in one room and play games with them - it's highly entertaining :)

Cheryl and I met 7 years ago when our then finance & boyfriend were playing volleyball together for CBC.  Now our husbands are Athletic Director and Head Volleyball Coach at the school and we are sharing the experience of being pregnant and soon delivering babies just a month different from each other!

3rd Annual Christmas Brinner PJ Party

For the 3rd year in a row we have gotten together with good friends to share a Christmas Brinner PJ Party!  It's fun and simple - the kids come in their Christmas PJ's and we share breakfast for dinner - it's great!

Sharing our feast together!

Here's a little flashback for you...2012
