Pumpkin Time

The pumpkin is carved and ready for Friday night - Happy Halloween Everyone!

A Sunday Afternoon Walk

We are loving the beauty of fall!  This year seems like fall is lasting extra long...we still have lots of trees that remain green while others are brilliant shades of yellow, orange and red.

We took a little Sunday afternoon stroll today - here are some pictures for you to enjoy!

Happy 24th!

I turned the big 24 this past month...while we were home we had a little ice-cream treat to celebrate - my FAVORITE!

Thankful for Friends!

I am so blessed, this Thanksgiving weekend I was able to share a brunch with three of my best friends - it was so enjoyable - I am truly thankful for these three beautiful ladies...I only wish that we didn't live a province apart!

We were thankful for Volleyball

Matthew played volleyball Fri-Sun of Thanksgiving weekend so the rest of us did a lot of cheering, waiting, sitting and more cheering.

Pre-game
Waiting in between games

Our Meal of Thanks!

We had Thanksgiving meal on Sunday evening and as you can see the preparation was a family affair and the result of everyone's hard made for a fantastic meal!

Dano got a little artsy on us..very Martha of him!
Here we all are (except Dad K is taking the picture and Mom M was in Mexico).
We have so much to be Thankful for!

Wedding Shower...Post Wedding

So the other night after a 12 hour day at work I was heading to what I thought was a staff meeting.  I got there and turns out it was a SURPRISE wedding shower and I was SURPRISED!!  It was wonderful and I felt so loved!  I work with a GREAT group of ladies!

Cultural Experience

Abbotsford just opened a new cultural center - we took advantage of the opening week with free admission.

Richmond Night Market

While Dan was visiting we went to the Richmond Night Market.  It was a very cultural experience for all - we saw some live entertainment, ate some WEIRD food and did a lot of 'window' shopping.

Dan eating some deep fried fish balls.

Grouse Grind

Matt's volleyball team hiked the 'Grouse Grind' together as a team building exercise.  Here is CBC's 2008 Men's Volleyball Team!

16 hour day.

The other day my unit was extremely short staffed.  I took one for the team and worked a 16 hour day - Matt had these waiting on my night table when I got home!

TRUDI!

My good friend Trudi was up from San Fran. for a couple of days do get her VISA renewed - it was so fun to spend the afternoon together!

Visit to Alberta

Trish has made the move to Red Deer.  I was able to travel with Trish from Abby to Red Deer and on our way we made a surprise visit to my parents.....it was THE BEST!!!
While at the parentals we played our usual competitive game of Wii!
Here we are on the deck at midnight checking out the full moon and the quietness of Didsbury:)
Dayla came down for the big move in day...
the three of us do enjoy each other!

It was a quick trip, but totally worth it - seeing people I love and sending Trish off on her new adventure!

Good-Bye Trish

Trish is moving to Red Deer - we had one last get together at the Kaminski house before she left.  Dinner and a game of Clue for old time sakes and as per usual Trish won!

You will be missed Tricia!

take me out to the ball game

We went down to Seattle for the weekend to hang out with Ruth and Thomas.  On Saturday night we all went to see the Mariners play the Yankees - it made me feel very American!

Dayla!!!

Dear Dayla is back in Canada after her world travelings - what a blessing it was to see her - she is a beautiful woman of God!  She had wonderful stories to tell of her travels!
S.T.D. reunited again...LOVE LOVE LOVE these girls!

Chad and Alysse

We made it back to Vancouver just in time to see this beautiful couple get married!  Chad played volleyball with Matt this past year and we have enjoyed hanging out with Chad and Alysse as a couple.

Baby James

The Sunday after the big anniversary Matt and I had to fly out to Vancouver to make it back for a wedding, but in doing this we missed Baby James (cousin) baptism...very sad.  Again, I have no pictures for the post expect the one below.  Dan sang in the service - this is us before the service as we were getting dropped off at the airport.

Happy 50th Anniversary

Grannie and Papa Kaminski shared there 50th wedding anniversary on August 30th.  The entire extented family minus one was able to share the day with them - what an accomplishment.  Sadly we have no pictures of the actual event (others took pictures - perhaps they will come later).  These pictures are of the swanky hotel room we stayed at for the event - it was such a treat - if you look closely enough you will see the granite counter tops in the bathroom - we were a little bit out of our element:)

A week at the lake...

We spent a week at Christopher Lake with Dan and Hailey.  It was a great week of relaxation.
There was a big storm and we lost power for about 20 hours...amazing how much we take power for granted.

This picture is tradition - everytime we are at the lake we take a picture in front of the cabin.
