Rumpus Room Built Ins

Well we haven't done any big renos for awhile...so why not start another room...three weeks after we have a baby - yes we are crazy :)

Our room of choice...the rumpus room in the basement.  Here it is "before" (well not really before - we have already patched the walls in these photos but you get the point)

Our basement is quite cool and so we had wanted to install a fireplace to warm the place up.  Around the fireplace I wanted built in bookshelves with cupboards on the bottom to hide toys.  I told Matt about my dreams for the room and he did a little sketch for me :)

Next came the cutting and priming

Grams & Gramps Visit!

Matt's parents were out this past week - it was so great to have them visit.  Sully had a great time with his Grams & Gramps and we were so blessed with all of the help they provided us!!!

Thanks for visiting Mom & Dad - come again soon - we love you!!!

Nana Comes To Town

Mom was out for the past two and a half weeks - she was such an amazing help to us!  She filled our freezor and spoiled her grandkids (and Matt and I too!)  We are so thankful to her!!!

Let's Go On A Date - February!

Our monthly date fun continues...this time with a trip to Chapters - we each got $20 - with that we were to buy a coffee and a new book.  However, turns out Chapters is crazy expensive so we checked out books and then decided that we would make our purchases through Amazon :)

Branson was a VERY well behaved third wheel on our date night - just quiet and cuddly all night!

Matt's Birthday!

It was Matt's birthday on Friday - he turned 29!  His mom posted this cute picture on Facebook  that day - looks a lot like a little man we currently have in our house :)

Sully and I went to visit Matt and bring him a coffee the morning of his birthday.  Sully loves to visit his dad at work!

That afternoon Branson and I headed back to CBC as Matt's wonderful assistant had thrown him a little surprise birthday celebration with tons of the athletes and staff from CBC.  We shared cake and fellowship...

and Branson was well loved on!

Next we headed out for supper with our little family and Nana who is out visiting.

Then home for ice cream cake :)

That evening we went over to good friends of ours to hang out for the evening!  Again good fellowship and food :)  Here is a picture of Phil and Matt with their new babies.  It is fun to watch these two be dads together!

We had a great day - I think Matt felt the love!  One more year till the big 3-0!!!
