Let's Go On A Date: April

So in my original date card that I made last November/December we were planning on going on a big vacation this month to somewhere hot...

however life took a bit of a turn when we bought a house - so no vacation and our date card changed a bit...

we hit up Wendy's and went to a movie - I havn't been to a movie in months!!!  it was a treat and nice to just relax together after a busy couple of weeks.

Grams and Gramps babysat Sully for us - we came home to this sweet note :)

Easter

We had a busy Easter weekend with moving, but we still made time to remember the sacrifice that was made for us in Jesus dying so that we may live!

After church on Sat. night (we all look a little tired - that was after moving all day!)

Easter Sunday - He is RISEN!!!

Good deal to have Matt's parents come and bring Easter treats for us! So fun!
How neat is this cookie bouquet?!

things got a little crazy...it was super sunny out and Sully needed a hat

Happy Easter baby boy - may you grow to know the true meaning of the holiday...
Christ is Risen - He is Risen Indeed - Hallelujah!

Moving...

As I had mentioned in a previous post - WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!  We had been looking online for about a year - kind of just dreaming/what if situations - then in January we starting looking a little more seriously.  We had a fairly strict budget that we didn't want to exceed and we hadn't really seen to much that we were loving in our price range.  Then one day in February I came across a house that looked nice and was having an open house that Sunday - always important to check the house out as sometimes the pictures online are deceiving.  We went to the open house and liked it a lot - it far exceeded our expectations of what we had seen, but we thought we were still months away from purchasing anything...God had other plans - fast forward one month later and we are home owners!  Everything just fell into place in ways only God could do - we are feeling very blessed!

March 26 - Sully with the BIG cheque for the down payment

March 28 - We got the KEYS!!!

March 30 - Moving Day

Our friend Tony very gernsouly let us use a truck from his work - it was massive!

We are so so thankful for Tony, the Wiens and Matt's parents for coming and helping us move, clean and keep Sully entertained - we could not have done it without you guys - we owe you one!

Teapot Hill

Saturday was a beautiful day for a hike with friends!  This was Sully's first hike of his little life!

our hike of choice...

the boys got an extra good workout carrying the baby weight
(Ev and I carried it for 9 months it was their turn!)

I love spring in BC!

all along the trail are teapots and teacups - it makes for a fun little treasure hunt as you hike up the mountain

teapot!

teacup!

there's another one!

we made it to the top!

coming back down

A great hike with great friends - Happy Spring!

Athletic Banquet

Matt hosted his first ever Athletic Banquet, as Athletic Director, this past Friday night!  Unfortunately, we have no pictures of the evening...I know epic fail and we were all dressed up for the evening - Sully and I ended up having to duck out early and come home to bed!  But picture, if you will, Matt looking as much like James Bond as you can possible imagine - he was one good looking AD! :)

He has done such a great job in his new role - it was fun night to celebrate the past year!

This guy...

Just some iphone photos to share...

Sully with Sulley (from the movie Monsters Inc)

sometimes Sully has a smile just like his Grandma - notice how when he smiles his little eyes get squished by his sweet cheeks :)

My little man.

I think he's starting to look like he's mine!

Master Sullivan - 4 months

Well this cuteness is now 4 months old (actually 4.5 months - I'm a little late in getting this post up!).  Sully is currently weighing in at 16 lbs 10 oz - his sweet cheeks remain!  This past month Sully went on yet another plane ride to the prairies - seriously this kid has been on more planes then a lot of adults!  He continues to be a great little flyer!  Sully was able to visit both sets of grandparents as well as his Uncle Dan and Auntie Hailey!

Sully has really been enjoying the use of his fingers - he loves to grab at things and almost always whatever he gets ahold of ends up in his mouth!  Another new and exciting realization was the discovery of colors or at least difference in shades - toys that he has been playing with for the past two months are becoming more and more exciting with this realization!

Sully continues to be a great night sleeper - he's in bed for 12 hours and only wakes once for a quick feed.  Naptimes remain a work in progress...he's teaching his mother patience!

Sully loves being outside - we have been enjoying the first few days of spring and being able to take long walks in the stroller!

This boy is ever changing - wow!  We are excited for month 5!
